Det här hade jag gärna gått på om det varit så att jag skulle vara i Belgrad den kommande veckan.

“Book launch: “Zloupotrebljene institucije: ko je bio ko u Srbiji 1987-2000. godine” (Institutions Abused: Who was Who in Serbia 1987-2000).

The definitive guild to who was who in the Milosevic regime: the politicians and political party members, judges, prosecutors, governors, general managers, chiefs of departments, committee presidents, generals, commanders, journalists, academics, cultural, intellectual and religious figures, and private business persons who made the Milošeivić regime what it was between 1987 and 2000.

Three years’ work. One thick black book. You might know someone in it.

The presentation of the book will be followed by a debate about the Milosevic period and what we should do about its legacy, with Vuk Draskovic (who is, of course, in the book), Obrad Savic, Mislos Vasic, and moderated by Gordana Susa.

A multi-media exhibition ‘Glasačka mašina’, which complements the book and is getting great reviews, is also open at the museum space (daily from 17.00 to 22.00) – see it before or after the book launch.
